As mentioned on my Twitter last night, I had to be taken to hospital in an ambulance after passing out due to vomiting and severe pain from my wisdom tooth.
They did a scan, and it looks like I might have a tumor growing in that area.
Tomorrow I go for a consultation at Ipswich Hospital to find out when I actually go into surgery to have the tooth removed. But I will have to also find out whats going to happen with this tumor.
The biggest concern is that, should the tumor be malignant, it may travel into my brain, so it is potentially life threatening.
So....yeah. Nothing else to say really except that I'm scared.
Here's hoping things are not that bad. But knowning my luck, well...it probably will be.

They shall grow not old
As we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them
Nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun
And in the morning
We will remember them.

Today marks 94 years since the greatest military failure in Australian & New Zealand history. So many soldiers lost their lives during World War I on the shores of Gallipoli in Turkey. This link will give those of you who are not as well informed about the national holiday as those of us from Australia and New Zealand information about the day and the holiday.

Its been over 2 weeks since I last posted a Journal, so I thought I would update you all as to what has been happening.
Firstly, I made it to Queensland ok. Currently living with a very good friend of mine on the Gold Coast (Southport to be precise). Got up here Saturday of last week. Was a long flight, but good (even after being moved from the very back row to the front)
Secondly, I'm starting to resettle in up here. Met up with a few furends the last few days, and saw the oldies on Monday/Tuesday. Was good. Looks like I will be moving up there to be near them, particularly with my now failing health (stupid diabetes) Well...I'm not really diabetic, but I do have to keep a very close eye on my sugar intake for a while. I'm very close to being diabetic its not funny (or for some of you, maybe it is :P)
I would love to catch up with those of you who are in QLD at some point.
Anyways, not much else to say really, except that I miss my friends from Melbourne.
Love to you all!
Sid.

Went to work today.
Everything was going fine.
Found out via text message that one of my best friends was caught in the fire at Kinglake and never made it out...
Then got a phone call at 11 saying that 2 of 4 of my cousins were coming down to visit me on Wednesday were visiting friends in Kinglake last week and were caught trying to excape and perished in the blazes...
I thought the Victorian bushfires wouldn't affect me.
I was wrong...
I'm gonna go now...
I...I just don't know what to do right now...

I can't explain it right now.
I need to go.
I need to isolate myself for a time.
Dunno how long it will be.
I'll be disappearing.
Be safe whilst I'm gone.
Don't worry about me. I'm just a depressing emo. Not worth your time worrying.

Ok, I am so over this heatwave. For 5 days now, the mercury has exceeded 38C (around 100F) with yesterday (Thursday) and today topping out at just over 45C (113F). Guh...I hate summer. I really do. To top it all off, Connex (the owner of the rail network here) ended up canceling in excess of I believe 1000 trains in the last few weeks alone, because of heat stress on the rails, broken air conditioning (or lack thereof), or just a lack of maintenance.
Ah well, shit happens I suppose. Now I just hope I can survive this heat so I can go to NZ in a few months time...

To you Australian's that read this journal, hope you had a great one. If you're American and want to show your support, just say "G'day Mate" to someone. ^^
My day was quiet, with shopping and cold chicken sandwiches.
Anyways, work now.

Good evening everyone. (or morning or afternoon, depending on when you read this in your little corner of the world).
Well, it's been a hectic month so far, and its only just the middle of January. I've been offline fr nearly a month, and without DeviantART and IRC, I've been pretty much going CRAZY!
So lets backtrack to November... thats when this all began...
Firstly, I quit my job at Pokémon Australia, as you know, because they weren't giving me enough hours.
Then I broke up with my boyfriends, because I wasn't comfortable in a three-way relationship.
I then went through depression something chronic, and thanks to a few particular people, I didn't try and stab myself IN THE EYE!
Then MiDFur came and went and it was a blast.
The Sunday after that, a guy who I'd know for about 6 or 7 months asked me out, and I said ok. So I'm currently dating him. Although he lives in Newcastle.
On Christmas Eve, I moved from my old place into a new house about 20 kilometers away, to the suburb of Glen Waverley. Its a very nice house, I will say that, and I get the whole upper floor to myself. ^_^
New Years came and went, and I had a wonderful time...just a small gathering of friends at the new place.
Didn't end up going to Brisbane because my plans all fell through.
Last week, contracted a 24 hour stomach bug. I would not wish that sort of pain and horror on anyone (well, maybe one or two...)
Then on Wednesday, I find out that my boss from my Pokémon job had a stroke at the end of last year and went into hospital, but is now at home. So, because there is now no one in the department, they have asked me to come in to assist them with stuff. So I go in on Monday for that.
Yesterday I wasn't feeling well so I rang up work and called in sick until 2pm. Went to the doctors and found out I had Laryngitis. (Fun! >.>
Went to work and got sent home.
To top it all off I now have a head cold.
So this year is getting off to a good start...
Anyways, talk to you all soon!

Greetings all. Sorry I haven't been around much. Been really really really busy. Work and my security course are draining me of all my energy.
Well MiDFur has come and gone. It was a fun weekend. Tuesday - Friday I had work then my security course, which is on the opposite side of the city to me and my work. >.> so thats lots of fun.
Anyways, I've gotten myself a new boyfriend, whose name is CJ. I love him heaps, and I'm even flying him down here from Newcastle in New South Wales down to Melbourne for New Years Eve. It shall be fun *evil grin*
Also, by the 9th of January, I will have moved out into a new place, so if I am suddenly more offline than normal, you know why.
I think thats all for now.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Well, it's Tuesday morning, and it has been a looooooong weekend. I am completely drained, and yet, my intelligent work has decided to put me on every day between today and Christmas. Real nice. I'm going to be a zombie by the end of it. If not, I will be dead. Which may or may not be a good thing. Who knows.
Anyway, just to recap from my last journal, Friday was officially the first day of MiDFur X ("MiDFur" being the Melbourne in December Fur Meet) and I must say that it was a blast.
But maybe I should back up a little, to Thursday.
Well, Paul_Fox, Stripe Husky, Sarsketch, SashaDee and Alexander the Lion all arrived at my place at 5am Thursday morning. After a brief round of dozing and hugs, we headed over to Chadstone so I could get new shoes. Then we came back to my place for a bit before heading out to the Victoria Hotel, where I met a lot of new furs, as well as 2 The Ranting Gryphon and Uncle Kage (CEO of Anthrcon in the USA). They are some awesome people! After this we went out and grabbed some Nandos and ice cream at Melbourne Central before returning to the hotel, then heading home.
On Friday we met up at the hotel at 2pm, and registered then mingled. I bought a SHITLOAD of stuff from the dealers den, then we had the official announcements, just prior to which I finally got my fursuit. Sadly, the suit is a little tight (fucking weight) but I at least have a partial. It is awesome! There will be photos up soonish. Anyways, the whole first day (which consisted of the Meet N Greet and Skydeck tour) finished up at about 11.30.
Saturday consisted of us riding the train in the rain to the hotel and hanging out with people before going downstairs to check out the dealers den. Much fun and love to be had. I bought LOTS of stuff! Including several commissions.
After the many events on Saturday that I cannot remember because it went like a blur, we had the Gala Ball, where the events leading up to that were quite interesting. Basically because of the lack of ventilation in my fursuit headpiece, I went looking for plastic tubing to place in the muzzle. When I got back I found out that my fursuit, bag and all my clothes for the ball were locked up downstairs, and after about 2 hours of trying to organize to get it out, we finally found out that we couldn't. So I sighed and went off to the ball. Had dinner, listened to the absolutely awesome 2 the Ranting Gryphon and Uncle Kage, then went back to the hotel, realising that my house keys were in my backpack downstairs, so the others staying at my place and I were stuck. So we found some floor and crashed on it.
Sunday involved myself, Micky and Treemeadow having breakfast, then us lounging around the convention hall. I sat in on some panels and bought more things. Then we had a fursuit walkaround and parade, and yeah, the night ended with me, once again, crashing on Micky, Marko and Treemeadows floor because it was too late. BTW, for those of you who went to MiDFur on the Sunday night and listened to 2 and Uncle Kage... "I want video of ALLLLLLL of it!!!!!" LOL
Monday came around and we art jammed a bit after going to breakfast with Kyle, Micky, Fluke, Steps and Neelix. Was very nice. I have found myself confident enough in my drawing to propose an art trade with Kraden. OMG I need to do well. Anyways, I had to leave at 4pm so I could attend my security course.
Anyway, thank you to everyfur who made it to MiDFur X and I hope to see you all again next year, or sooner!
Now, this exhausted Wolgon must go to work. Back into the normal scheme of things already. I really should have taken today off...

Well I won't be online for a few days. Tonight I'm flying up to Brisbane to visit my best friend for her birthday. It shall be fun.
A word of caution - NEVER FLY JETSTAR! EVER! They charged me an extra $80 for one bag to be put underneath. $80! Granted, I'd left changing my ticket to yesterday, but still... Ah well. They are a stupid airline anyway.
I apologise to everyone whom I watch for the short comments, or, more accurately recently, lack thereof for a few days. I have 1600 deviations to filter through, which will no doubt jump t about 2000 by Monday (depending on how many image dumps you guys do).
Anyways, I need to head to work.

Ok, so not so much, but a big thing!
AUSTRALIAN GAY/LEBIAN COUPLES! PAY CLOSE ATTENTION NOW! BLINK AND YOU'LL MISS IT!
Ok, so I was reading the Melbourne Herald Sun newspaper this morning, and I came across a small article of interest...
LEGAL JOY FOR GAY COUPLES!
The Rudd Government has marked its anniversary by honouring an election pledge to remove discrimination against same-sex couples in a wide range of federal laws.
Federal Parliament has approved changes to superannuation laws that allow same-sex couples to leave their entitlements to their partner or children upon death. The Senate also agreed to a Bill to extend the meaning of de facto to include same-sex relationships.
The legislation brings equality to same-sex couples in areas including tax, social security, health and employment.
"The Bills deliver on a very important election commitment on an important day for us," Climate Change Minister Penny Wong, who is gay, said yesterday.
But Greens leader Bob Brown, who is also gay, said discrimination against same-sex couples would end only when they were legally allowed to wed.
o.O
THIS IS AWESOME!!!!
Perhaps this government will actually do something that's useful...
Its a first step. It's progress.

If you don't want to read it, then here is the trans-script:
There are many gay, lesbian and similar like-minded out there. Some may be teachers, or lawyers, or shopkeepers. Your next door neighbour could be a part of this minority.
Now, just for a second, what would you think if that man, or woman, wanted to get married to someone of their own gender? Would you think that it is disgusting? Blasphemy? Against the teachings of God? Or would you think that the two of them would make a nice couple, and congratulate them.
If your best friend...or your brother or sister, or someone else important in your life...told you they were homosexual, what would your reaction be? If it were me, I would hug them and tell them to do what they feel will make them happy. They are still the same person that I have always known, its just that I've learned of their lifestyle choice, and that makes them even more special to me.
I have a lot of friends, both gay and straight. The majority of them know I am gay, and for the few that don't, it just means that I haven't gotten around to telling them yet. It not a problem being gay, its just a problem with the way some people in this world think.
Last night some (straight & gay) friends and I had a discussion about homosexuality vs heterosexuality and we came up with some very good arguments, the one below a perfect example.
Why is it that "normal" heterosexual people hate homosexuals?
It is not a case of hatred persay, but merely a fear of the unknown.
Another common misconception amongst both the heterosexual and homosexual communities is that homosexuals are "unclean", in the sense that, thanks to those wonderful people we call "the media", the majority of the homosexual community, if not all of it, has STDs, which is untrue. Moreso, those who use heroin or other such injection or digestion drugs, have the higher percentage margin of the STD or general disease ranges than homosexuals do.
Proposition 8, I feel, and I know, goes against the anti-discrimination laws for all countries, not just America. Being gay, straight, or otherwise, is a lifestyle choice, and therefore, should same-sex or opposite-sex partners decide that they would like to be "joined in a state of holy matrimony" then why shouldn't they?
How are we, not only as a community of friends and artists, but also as members of society, supposed to have access to the "rights of free-speech" if we cannot even get married to the partner of our choice REGARDLESS OF GENDER! It is discrimination against not only homosexuals, but also to every single person on this planet.
What would happen if it was the other way around... where being heterosexual was "not normal". How would those people feel if Prop 8 was passed, but worded to suppress heterosexual marriage?
...
My point exactly.
Prop 8 isn't a step in the right direction, but a form of discrimination written into the law, to ban two men, or two women, loving each other in a way that, save for a few states and countries, can only be experienced by opposite-sex couples.
I may be Australian, and this "law" may not affect me directly, but at the same time, it does. My nickname is Law (based on my username of LoneAntarcticWolf and I am disgusted to share my name with this proposed trash.
Proposition 8 is wrong, and should be abolished.
This is just my US15.875c (cause the Australian Dollar isn't worth that much at the moment). These are my views. I don't have any hatred against Christian people, straight people, or anyone else. Just a frustration that some people are not open minded about the possibility of someone being gay.
Hell hath no fury like a gay man scorned...

Well a couple of things to note:
* I will be flying up to Brisbane from Friday December 5 - Monday December 8, 2008 for my friends's birthday. My flights are booked!
* On Sunday I, along with several other people, were on one of the City Circle trams in Melbourne when it became lodged underneath an insulator on the wires. Several of us were asked to try and push the tram, but we failed. So we had to wait half an hour for another tram to push us an inch so that we could get back on track so to speak.
Amusing, no? I'll post a video of the tram pushing us later on.
MiDFur is less than a month away. Awesome!
